Sahitya Akademi Award Complete list of winners 2021

The Sahitya Akademi Award is granted to the most outstanding literary works produced in any of the Akademi recognized 24 major Indian languages.

The Sahitya Akademi has announced its annual Sahitya Akademi Awards, Yuva Puraskar and Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2021 in a variety of languages. 

According to the board, the main Sahitya Akademi prize winner will get an engraved copper plate, shawl, and ₹1 lakh, while the Yuva Puraskar and Bal Sahitya Puraskar will each receive an engraved copper plate and ₹50,000.

The Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2021 were awarded for 22 Indian languages, with the prize in Tamil to be announced later; no award was granted in Rajasthani this year. 

Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2021: Complete List of Winners

The Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2021 was awarded in 22 Indian languages; however, no Bal Sahitya Puraskar was awarded in Gujarati or Punjabi this year. 

Anita Vachharajani has been declared the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2021 winner for her biography 'Amrita Sher-Gil: Rebel with a Paintbrush' and  Devendra Mewari, a Hindi playwright, got the prize for his play 'Natak Natak me Vigyan.'
