This post lists some of the important Industrial compounds, their chemical names, and chemical formulas which are often asked in the various PSC exams.

  • Baking Soda – Sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO3

  • Caustic Soda / Lyle – Sodium hydroxide, NaOH.

  • Laughing Gas – Nitrous oxide, N2O.
  • Quick Lime – Calcium oxide, CaO.
  • Soda Ash / Washing Soda – Sodium carbonate, Na2CO3
